Who Can Apply?

Conditions to avail the benefits of the Roshan Gharana Scheme:

The applicant must be a Pakistani citizen and have a National Identity Card.
The applicant must be the owner of the house, or if he is renting, then the written permission of the landlord is mandatory.
He must have a residential electricity connection in his name.
Consumers who consume 50 to 200 units of electricity per month will be eligible for free solar systems under this scheme.
Those consumers who consume 200 to 500 units of electricity per month will be provided with solar systems on easy installments.
Go to the nearest Bank of Punjab branch and get the application form for the “Roshan Gharana Scheme” from the concerned officer there.
Read the form carefully, fill in the required information carefully, attach all the necessary documents with the form, and submit the completed application to the concerned officer.

What’s Included in the Solar Kit?

Now, the question must come to your mind: what will be included in the solar package given by the government? Will only solar plates be given, or will all the necessary items like an inverter, battery, and wiring equipment also be provided?

The package announced by the Punjab government will include the following items.

Modern solar panels
One inverter
One battery
Complete wiring equipment

This system will be provided based on your electricity usage:

Customers who use 50 units or less of electricity will be provided with a 550-watt solar system.
Customers who use up to 200 units of electricity will be given a free solar system of up to 1 kW.

This system can easily run your home fans, LED bulbs, TVs, and other small electrical appliances and will provide battery backup for 12 to 14 hours.

For Middle-Class Families: Solar on Easy Installments

Families using between 201 and 500 units/month can benefit through Bank of Punjab loans:

201–300 units: Rs 2.25 lakh loan → Rs 3700/month

301–400 units: Rs 3 lakh loan → Rs 6200/month

401–500 units: Rs 3.75 lakh loan → 25% down payment

For families using 201 to 500 units of electricity per month, the government has arranged loans through the “Bank of Punjab”:

201–300 units: 2.25 lakh loan, 3700 rupees monthly installment

301–400 units: 3 lakh loan, 6200 rupees installment

401–500 units: 3.75 lakh loan; 25% advance payment will be required
